Titus Chansa bagged a brace, scoring on either side of an Osmond Chita strike to fire Power Dynamos into the ABSA Cup quarter-finals.

A heavily rotated Power Dynamos side proved too strong for FAZ Division One Central Province outfit, Air Power FC, cruising to a comfortable 3-0 victory in the Round of 16 at Railways Stadium in Kabwe.

Head coach Osward Mutapa opted to rest his regular starting XI, but the fringe players rose to the occasion.

Titus Chansa opened the scoring in the 3rd minute with a well-placed header, before Osmond Chita doubled the advantage with a close range finish in the 37th minute.

Talisman Chansa, who was crowned the man-of-the-match and awarded a K5000, completed his brace in the 62nd minute, unleashing a powerful left-footed strike from long range to seal the result and yet again prove his goal scoring prowess this season.

Coach Osward Mutapa made changes in the 60th minute, introducing Jacob Kaunda, Aaron Simpasa, and Jericho Mwila for Kapembwa Musonda, Osmond Chita, and Emmanuel Kunda. Ten minutes later, Moses Mulenga and Jackson Mulambia were introduced in place of Pride Mwansa and Bebi Onka Musangala to see out the game.

The win sets up a mouthwatering quarter-final tie against fellow MTN sponsored Zambian Premier League side Kabwe Warriors FC, scheduled for Saturday, April 12, 2025, in Lusaka.

However, before that, the league leaders will host Nkwazi FC at Arthur Davies stadium, in a crucial midweek Super League fixture on Wednesday, April 10, 2025.

In his post match comments, Coach Mutapa praised his squad’s depth and work ethic,  emphasising the importance of squad rotation amid a congested fixture schedule that saw the team play every three days over the last fortnight.
