On Friday, May 30, 2025, Power Dynamos Football Club (PDFC) bagged six awards at the MTN end-of-season awards.
The awards ceremony held at Garden Court and graced by the Minister of Youth, Sports, and Arts, Honourable Elvis Nk’andu, was a resounding success, highlighting the best local sports talent.
The Club’s Head Coach, Osward Mutapa, was voted Coach of the Year, a result of his tactical acumen, leadership, and ability to motivate his players.
Midfielder Owen Tembo won the Player of the Year award. This award highlighted his exceptional skills and consistent brilliance on the field.
Others include Fredrick Mulambia, Willard Mwanza and Titus Chansa, who won Most Disciplined Player, Golden Glove and Top Scorer of the season, respectively. Titus’ award is a joint award with Nkana’s Idris Ilunga Mbombo, who both scored 13 goals during the season.
In recognition of the significant role the fans played during the season, Power’s headline fan, Fred Chibeka, popularly known as Shombo International, was voted Fan of the Season for his unwavering enthusiasm and energetic support during the season.

Experience:
Chimbalanga was appointed as Treasurer in 2021. He is currently employed as Accountant Non-Core Assets for the Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC). He was previously employed as Accountant Capital Projects before his current portfolio. Prior to joining, he had held positions in Investments at National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) and as Project Accountant at Onyx Connect.
In his current role, he is responsible for the efficient management of sponsorship funds through driving the club’s finance strategy. Chimbalanga sits on the Finance and Business development sub committee of the club.

Reuben was appointed member of the Executive Management Committee in September 2021. He is a creative and dynamic leader who brings to the team his experience and proven ability in project management, effective communication and team building. He has over 16 years’ experience, drawn mostly from exposure in local and international organisations, serving at different levels including as country representative. He has been involved in football at different levels of administration, ranging from supporter societies to executive committee. At the time of his appointment, he was serving as General Secretary of a FAZ Division One (Copperbelt) club. He is a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers. Currently, he is Senior Manager under Business Expansion Projects at Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc.

Masauso was appointed as Executive Management Committee member in September 2021. A long standing supporter, Masauso has previously associated with the Club through his membership to the Power Dynamos Fans Forum, an association he has served as Treasurer and Vice-Chairman respectively. He has also served as Vice Chairman the Power Dynamos Supporters Council.
He is a certified Integrity Officer and an Anti-Corruption, Ethics and Integrity development specialist with over 18 years’ experience in various fields, including operational risk analysis and policy formulation. He has previously worked for the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Zambia Revenue Authority. Masauso is the founder and Executive Director of the Centre for Ethics and Public Integrity Zambia.

Benny chairs the board of Power Dynamos Sports Limited, a subsidiary of the Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (CEC) and the special purpose vehicle which runs Power Dynamos Football Club. Benny had his first stint with the Club when he was appointed Executive Management Committee member and served as member of the Player Welfare, Disciplinary and Security Subcommittee. He was reappointed to the Club in 2013 as Chairman, a role he held until 2015 when he assumed the role of Board Chairman.
Benny serves as Head – Projects & Support Services at CEC. He has over 26 years of experience in project management and maintenance of electrical, mechanical and civil infrastructure assets in the mining and energy industries.

Ferdinand was appointed Vice Chairman of the executive management committee in September 2021. He brings to the team years of leadership and managerial experience acquired from various management portfolios held in different companies, combined with close to five years of football administration. He has served on several boards of community service and sporting clubs.
Currently, Ferdinand is a Manager for Shawonga Enterprise Limited and a director on the board of Zinpro Zambia.
George Pande

Qualifications: Certificate in Industrial Firefighting, Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical), Member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
Experience:
George was appointed as Executive Management Committee member in September 2021. He previously served the Club as Secretary of the Match Organizing Committee. He has also played the role of Secretary for PDFC Supporters Committee and as Head - Business Development of the Power Dynamos Supporters Council. He holds the position of Senior Drafter-Electrical at CEC.

Brian Chishimba was appointed as Executive Management Committee member in September 2021. As an ardent supporter of over 30 years, Brian brings to the Club his passion and experience from the terraces to the team’s administrative ranks.
He is a Procurement Specialist and has worked for the Copperbelt University as Procurement Manager for eight years. He is presently seconded to the Copperbelt University Investments Holdings Limited (CBU-IH) as Director-Operations.

Alpha was appointed Chairman in September 2021. He brings to the portfolio a wealth of experience in leadership and management, complemented by community service acquired from having served as Roundtable Zambia president. He is currently the Senior Manager – Business Development (Zambia and DRC) at CEC and a Trustee of the CEC Pension Scheme Board.
During his time with the Round Table Zambia, Alpha collaborated with the Football Association of Zambia and various football clubs to manage fundraisers for charitable causes. He is an ardent Power Dynamos supporter.

34 years’ experience in Accounting and Internal Auditing. He has worked for Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (from 1987 to 1997) and Copperbelt Energy Corporation Plc (from 1997 to date) and has served in various capacities as, among others, Cost Accountant, Projects Accountant, Financial Analyst, Management Accountant, and Internal Auditor.
His football administration experience includes having served as Financial Secretary for Nchanga Rangers Limited, Accountant/Treasurer for Power Sports Limited, Executive Committee Member and Chairperson Finance Sub Committee for Power Dynamos Football Club.

Happie holds more than 17 years extensive experience in football management. In his present role, he is responsible for the management and delivery of the Company’s strategy. He has sat as an Executive member for the Football Association of Zambia and as Secretary of Hotspurs FC in his previous roles. Happie sits on the Technical, Finance and Business Development, Player Welfare and media sub-committees of the club.
